Organisational Change

Organisational Change

We believe that organisations must continually evolve to build their capability to engineer the products that the market demands.

We have significant experience in understanding and driving change at all levels of the organisation and have developed programmes ranging from team level enablement through to multi-million dollar corporate engineering change.

At the heart of our methodology is the application of product management and systems thinking to thoroughly identify both drivers and challenges before architecting the solution.

Automotive

Automotive product development requires a mindset that puts safety at the heart of product development. This requires a significant shift in how engineers think as they must consider and mitigate all possible faults in the des.

Our Systems Engineers are Functional Safety Certified Automotive Engineer (FSCAE) qualified to be able to advise teams on how to safely engineer automotive products to ISO26262.

We have put in place systems to enable major electronics companies to build leading products which enable evolution in the automotive engineering towards fully autonomous vehicles. Our team have carried out the Systems Engineering across products including LIDAR, Radar, magnetic position sensors and battery management for automotive applications.

Industrial

The fourth industrial revolution sees in a new age of sensing, robotics and autonomy within our factories, warehouses, industrial plants and transportation networks.

Novel technologies for sensing, interpreting and acting on data require a systems approach to consider the environment they operate in, how they interface and how to ensure they are secure and safe.

Our Systems Engineers have experience across sensing, networks, power management, interfaces and safety standards including IEC61508 to enable your business in this evolving area.

Internet of Things

Interconnectivity and intelligence in IoT devices brings new challenges to product design.  The introduction of software and cloud based services to deliver connected systems requires new disciplines to work with traditional hardware based teams.

Information security is a key consideration as IoT devices can become an easy vector for attacks. This has significant implications for privacy and safety.

Our team have considerable experience in using Systems Engineering to architect secure products for IoT.  We are also advocates of open source infrastructure and run a number of LoraWAN gateways in the local community on The Things Network which allow small enterprises a platform to develop with.

Mobile Communication

The complexity of connected devices such as smart phones requires a systems approach to the engineering of the components used to build them.

It is not uncommon to find that manufacturers have not fully considered the environment in which their components are operating and discover issues including RF channel blocking or noise rejection problems during system integration by a customer.  The engineer must look outside the system boundary to deliver an optimal product.

Our team has many years of experience developing imaging and audio products for this market with a full understanding of the system level challenges that must be considered for successful designs.
